Last week, the Málaga Python meetup debuted with a fabulous event.

The much anticipated event was over subscribed, with lucky 30 people converging upon the Ebury office in Málaga to hear from one of our team leaders, Adrián Matellanes.

The main focus of the two hour session was the presentation from Adrián. He kept the crowd invigorated with his ‘gotchas’ presentation.

If you are not aware of gotchas, you might conclude that the Python language is poorly designed but it makes more sense once you are aware of the underlying reasons.

It was an interactive talk where gotchas were discussed with lots of examples and the audience were able to guess why python behaves the way it does.

You can read Adrián Matellanes’ slides here:

We’d like to thank all those who attended for their attentiveness during the presentation and the vibrant atmosphere during the networking hour.

The community commented on how we had ‘done a fantastic job in getting us this venue, bringing food and drink, and taking care of all the details. Thanks Ebury team!’ You can take a look at more photos of our inaugural audience here. Enjoy!

We hope see you at our next event, available for registration below:
